Mane to sign new Liverpool deal 

Liverpool are confident of tying Sadio Mane down to a long term contract in the coming weeks, the Mirror reports.

The Reds are poised to reward the Senegal forward with an improved deal following his impressive displays in the past two seasons. 

Mane is currently under contract until 2021 and he is expected to join Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino who have both committed their futures to Liverpool until 2023 this summer.

Leicester keen to sell Slimani

Leicester City are still interested in offloading Islam Slimani on a permanent deal instead of another loan move, according to Leicestershire Live .

The Foxes have placed a £18m price tag on the Algerian forward who has struggled for form since his arrival at the King Power Stadium on a club-record fee.

Sporting CP are reported to have shown interest in reuniting with their former player but cannot meet the transfer demands. Besiktas and Fenerbahce have also indicated interest in signing the 30-year-old.

Fanendo Adi joins FC Cincinnati

FC Cincinnati have announced the acquisition of Fanendo Adi from the Portland Timbers in exchange for $450,000 in general allocation money and $400,000 in targeted allocation money.

The 27-year-old will play in the second-tier United Soccer League before the club makes the jump to Major League Soccer in 2019.

Muntari want to wrap up career in Ghana

Former AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has revealed his desire to end his career by playing the Ghanaian Premier League.

The 33-year-old who is currently without a club has not ruled out the chances of turning out for either Asante Kotoko, Hearts, RTU, King Faisal or Liberty Professionals before his retirement.

Napoli end Youssouf Sabaly chase 

Napoli are no longer interested in signing Senegal international Youssouf Sabaly due to a knee injury he is still nursing, Gazzetta dello Sport s reports.

After agreeing a €15m fee with Bordeaux, the Partonepei have ended their interest in the 25-year-old and are poised to sign PSV’s Santiago Arias this summer.

Sabaly was injured in Senegal’s final World Cup game against Colombia back in June.

Essien retires from international football

Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has announced his retirement from international football, after over 12 years of active service with Ghana.

The 35-year-old, who is currently without a club after parting ways with Indonesian outfit Persib Bandung, last featured for the Black Stars in 2014 at the Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

The Red Devils have assured the Cote d’Ivoire international that his future is secured at the club as they look to sign Leicester’s Harry Maguire and Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld before the transfer market closes.

Bailly has played in every of Manchester United’s pre-season games and he is most likely to get the nod for their Premier League opener against Leicester City on August 10.
