Pakistan batsman Babar Azam has been ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing Test series against England after the scans at the end of Day 2 or the Lord’s game revealed a fracture on his left hand. The middle-order batsman has been ruled out of action for 4-6 weeks, according to the Pakistan team physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon.
Azam retired hurt after copping a blow to his left arm, off the bowling of Ben Stokes while batting on 68, and was forced off the field.
Even though the batsman did not leave for x-rays straightway, Azam did not take field for the remainder of day.
