Brewers relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress was named to the National League All-Star roster Thursday, marking the team’s franchise-record fifth player on the squad.

Jeffress joined teammate outfielders Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain, Jesus Aguilar and fellow reliever Josh Hader on the NL roster.
So far this season, Jeffress is 6-1 with three saves and a 0.99 ERA in 45 1/3 innings. He also has 47 strikeouts and a sterling 0.84 WHIP.
Despite riding a two-game losing streak, the Brewers still hold a one-game lead over the Cubs in the NL Central.
