The mid-table clash of the North Group between Derbyshire and Leicestershire in Derby ended with a no result on account of showers.
Home side captain Gary Wilson inserted the visitors in on a gloomy evening, and reaped rewards of the conditions. Four of the five fast bowlers that were employed by Derbyshire picked a wicket each as Leicestershire just couldn’t build their essay.
Neil Dexter and Harry Swindells started well but once Lockie Ferguson struck to remove the former, the procession began. A wicket fell every alternate over, leaving them struggling on 50 for 4 in the eighth overs. Colin Ackermann and Ateeq Javid added 53 runs in the next 43 balls before rain came down.
There would be no resumption further, ending the game as a stalemate.
Brief Scores: Leicestershire 103/4 in 14.3 overs (Colin Ackermann 24, Ateeq Javid 28) vs Derbyshire
