LeBron James reportedly excited to play with Lonzo Ball on Lakers

LeBron James wants to share the court with Lonzo Ball.

James announced Sunday he was leaving Cleveland and signing a four-year, $154 million contract with the Lakers. James told Los Angeles executives this week he likes Ball’s game and “is excited to play with him,” according to ESPN.

The Lakers selected Ball with the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. The 20-year-old point guard averaged 10.2 points and 7.2 assists per game in his rookie season.

Los Angeles has also re-signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and added Lance Stephenson, Rajon Rondo as well as JaVale McGee to its roster, in addition to James, this offseason.

The Lakers are also pursuing a potential trade for Kawhi Leonard and have spoken with free agent center DeMarcus Cousins, according to multiple reports.
