Temba Bavuma and Theunis de Bruyn had done enough to get the Sri Lankan senior players thinking long and a bit worried too. But with the session break closing in, even the batsmen displayed a bit of nerve. Eventually, Rangana Herath cashed in on that and induced an outside edge off Bavuma with a classic left-arm spinner’s delivery. Dismissed 10 minutes before Lunch, the sixth wicket stand ends on 123. Can the incoming Quinton de Kock see through the last few minutes before Lunch safely?
Theunis de Bruyn and Temba Bavuma have stitched a century-stand. Who saw this coming at the fall of the fifth wicket! After being completely outplayed by spin all through the tour, on the penultimate day of the series, the visitors are giving a good account of themselves. The target has come down to 272.
I hope I don't jinx him but I have a feeling Theunis de bruyn is going big today! 100! #SLvSA Temba is quietly going about his business too!! #ProteaFire

Temba Bavuma joins the list of half-centurions too. The runs have come pretty quick as well -off only 69 balls. The ball is turning and bouncing but there has been no success for Sri Lanka in the first hour of Day 4. Theunis de Bruyn has good company.

FIFTY! Theunis de Bruyn, who has batted as well as South African in this series, has reached his fifty – the first visitor to do so on this tour. It’s a richly deserved landmark.
ICYMI: SLC suspends Gunathilaka from international cricket pending inquiry
Hello and welcome to Day 4 of the second Test between Sri Lanka and South Africa. Don’t be surprised if this also turns out to be the last day of the series. The way South African batsmen have tackled spin so far in this series, it seems unlikely that they will be able to bat out the entire day.
Theunis de Bruyn batted really well in the final session on Sunday. Unbeaten on 45, it remains to be seen if he can continue that form today as well. Other than that, well, there’s very little remaining in the game.
