Angelo Mathews and Lahiru Gamage return home mid-way from West Indies, where the Sri Lankan side is touring for a three-Test series, a release stated on Wednesday (June 13).
While Mathews is headed back for personal reasons, Gamage, suffered a fractured finger while batting in the first Test. Mathews scored 11 and 31 in respective innings in the first Test that Sri Lanka lost by 226 runs, while Gamage went wicketless.
Dasun Shanaka and Danushka Gunathilaka have been named as respective replacements.
The duo are expected to arrive in Sri Lanka today.
