Roma’s Radja Nainggolan has completed a medical ahead of his proposed move to Inter Milan, according to Sky in Italy.
The Belgian midfielder, who was left out of Roberto Martinez’s World Cup squad, was pictured at Humanitas hospital in Milan on Sunday.
Nainggolan confirmed last summer he had held talks with Antonio Conte about joining Chelsea and did not rule out a move to the Premier League later in the year.
It now appears the 30-year-old will instead be moving to the San Siro.
Nainggolan has been a key part of the Roma side since joining in 2014 from Cagliari and was instrumental in the club’s run to the Champions League semi-final last season.
He featured in 42 matches last season across all competitions, scoring six goals and registering six assists as Roma finished the Serie A season in third.
Despite this good form, he was surprisingly left out of the Belgium World Cup squad by Roberto Martinez last month.
A decision that was met angrily by Nainggolan, who publicly criticised the national boss before announcing his retirement from international football.
