Tiger Woods and many of the world’s top golfers head to Mexico this week for WGC-Mexico Championship, the first of four World Golf Championship tournaments on the 2019 PGA Tour schedule.

Woods, who has won 18 WGC events in his career, is coming off a pair of top-20 finishes in his last two tournaments, most recently at the Genesis Open, where he shot 6-under and tied for 15th.

Hole 5: Par 4, 452 yards

Hole 4: Par 4, 495 yards

The ship is slowly being righted. Woods’ beautiful second shot puts him four feet from the hole. His birdie putt is easily sunk.

Hole 3: Par 3, 200 yards

Two straight pars now for Woods after his tee shot lands on the green but the 22-foot birdie putt falls just short.

Hole 2: Par 4, 383 yards

Another bad start for Woods. His tee shot barely stays on the fairway, but approach shot falls short of the green. His third shot is a long putt from the fairway that puts him about a foot from the hole, leading to a par save.

Hole 1: Par 4, 305 yards

It’s a drivable downhill par four to start the round, but Woods’ tee shot goes way left and out of bounds. He takes a penalty and re-hits, but it also veers left and in the rough. The tough lie forces a shot into the bunker, but he saves even further damage by placing the shot out of the sand right near the hole and tapping in for double bogey. Not an ideal start for Woods, to say the least.
