There was yet more moving ball drama in golf this week, although this time it was Zach Johnson being penalised for not playing a shot.
Fortunately for Johnson, the incident was far less controversial than when Phil Mickelson chased after a moving ball and played a stroke at the US Open last week.
The 42-year-old American was on the par-four third during his second round at the Travelers Championship in Connecticut when his birdie putt stopped on the lip of the hole.
Johnson was then reluctant to finish the hole as he felt the ball was still moving. When he eventually did go to play the stroke, the ball dropped in without him touching it.

However, because the ball dropped in more than 10 seconds after his original shot, it counted as an extra stroke.
Johnson – who said he “understood” the decision to penalise him – lies one shot off the lead at nine-under-par at TPC River Highlands.
You can watch the remarkable incident – as well as Johnson’s explanation of what happened – in the video above.
